Page Turners: A Book-Making Workshop

In this Writers in the Schools (WITS) workshop, students will write and assemble their own book. We will engage with multiple genres, with a special focus on poems, as students write, revise, and plan their creations. Students will discover the unique creativity of the bookmaking process; every single book is a one-of-a-kind work of art. At the end of the workshop, we will host a celebration of sharing, where parents and family will be invited to hear students read their favorite pieces out loud. Students may be asked to bring extra art materials.
