Game Design - Your Own Way!


Move from Mario to Mario Maker! Develop a wide range of creative skills, including conceptualizing game interactions, drafting storyboards, designing characters and applying sound and art images to computer games using Game Maker. Choose your favorite subject for the project topic -- which is making a game of your own! Create different levels of game play (your parents can play the easy ones) with enhanced interactivity to keep players riveted. Not an artist? Not a problem! Use the professional-quality art that we've included in each project or create your own. When you're done, take home your own multi-level game masterpiece and rule the world.

10 through 13 (5th Grade - 8th Grade)

Who will like this Course?

Designers who want to get started creating their own games and who have a wide range of creative skills.

Recommended Prerequisites

General computer experience and strong math skills or successful completion of a Compucamp course such as VB.NET, C# or Java.
